God’s sure judgement on Israel
Ezekiel is shown some of the current inhabitants of Jerusalem and they think they are in a good position since the exiles have been taken and they are in charge. But they are evil and don’t know that judgement is just around the corner for them.
The promise of Israel’s return
God assures Ezekiel that although they have been removed from their home, He will bring them back and restore them after a time. And He will be their God and they will have hearts of stone replaced by hearts of flesh.
