Jerusalem as a Cooking Pot
The prophecy now sets a date for when Babylon will attack and take over Jerusalem. God tells Ezekiel to fix a stew in a cooking pot and then pour it out over rocks as an example of what will happen to Jerusalem
Ezekiel’s Wife Dies
Ezekiel is told that the one he loves most will be taken from him but he is not to act as mourners normally do. This is a sign of what will happen to Jerusalem. The temple will be desecrated and they will not have the opportunity to mourn.
