Daniel in the Den of Lions
Darius is ruler of tithe kingdom and Daniel is one of three administrators over the employees of the kingdom. He is being considered for being made the sole leader, but others are jealous of his position and convince Darius to pass a law that forbids worshipping anyone else but Darius for 30 days. The law is passed and Daniel openly prays three times a day. He is arrested and placed in den of lions. Darius is troubled and comes the next day to check on him. He is fine, an angel of the LORD has shut the mouths of the lions. Daniel is removed and his accusers are placed in the den, with their families. The lions destroy the accusers and Darius proclaims praises to God. Daniel continues to serve both Darius and Cyrus, the Persian.
